Everglades City Fishing Report - Everglades Tarpon Charter - GB Fly Fishing

Everglades City Fishing Report

Looking for a real adventure this spring on a Florida Everglades Fly Fishing Charter? It is definitely the time for that right now because the Tarpon are popping!

It sure has been an interesting spring so far, with unpredictable temperatures and Tarpon on my mind. As is always the case when headed down south to go fly fishing for Tarpon in Everglades City, the fish were out in large quantities. Late February and early spring brought a few challenging days due to heavy winds and murky waters, which definitely kept things pretty interesting!

However the silver kings did not disappoint at all, eventually emerging  to dance and roll along the water's surface once the sunshine came out. My favorite fishing spots to take anglers to during our Florida Everglades fly fishing charters were all filled with tarpon, bringing in good numbers and equally great times!

If you choose to travel to Everglades City or the Florida Keys fishing for tarpon, you will not be disappointed! Our Tarpon charters in Florida offer incredible opportunities to go saltwater fly fishing. As an experienced tarpon fly fishing guide in Everglades City, I always make sure a weekend experience with us on the Mothership or a day trip out on the water is an adventure of a lifetime, offering just the escape into uncharted territory every angler needs.

One of Florida's last true wilderness areas, Everglades National Park and the surrounding Ten Thousand Islands are widely considered to be one of the best saltwater destinations to go fly fishing for Tarpon in the United States. Come explore the hidden creeks, jungle rivers, and lucid bays in search of the worlds greatest "Silver King". A true mecca shallow water fly fishing, this region is vast and richly diverse in fish species, and our everglades tarpon guides know just where to find them!

In what feels like infinite miles of mangrove flats, the everglades creates a maze of rivers and back-country fishing ponds making a perfect estuary for Tarpon and Snook. This is excellent sight-fishing using top water poppers for Snook and Tarpon that are quick to roll and go after a fly.

Our guided Everglades Tarpon Charters will keep anglers chasing the line from Everglades City to Islamoralda Key, creating the saltwater fly fishing experience of a lifetime. Although not for the faint of heart or skill level, you do not necessarily have to be a prize-winning fly fisherman to go after such a mighty king. But once you land one on our Florida Tarpon Charters, you will sure feel like one!
